This project was designed in 1998 and constructed in the fall and then spring of 1999. The project cost was approximately $1,000,000.00 and included approximately 4000 feet of sanitary sewer pipe installation along with construction of a new lift station and 1400 meters of forcemain with installation under the East River. The design and permit acquisition work required for the river crossing involved considerable effort and detail. 

This project involved laying pipe in developed areas where landscaping features needed to be carefully restored and homeowner satisfaction was considered critical for success. 

The project involved gravity collectors of sanitary sewage followed by pumping along the road and under the East River a distance of 1400 meters.
