Cribbons Point Harbour Development

Cribbons Point
This project to provide a harbour development plan for the Cribbon’s Point Harbour in Antigonish, N.S. was commenced in 1996. The project included developing six potential configurations for breakwater optimization and layout for a co-existent commercial and recreational user base. Additionally a marketing component was undertaken to indicate the harbour improvements required to generate sustainable revenue.

CribbonsCoastal engineering for wave attenuation and sedimentation minimization were provided by Baird & Associates Ltd. and the Environmental Assessment by Land & Sea Environmental Ltd.  A resultant five year phased implementation plan, capital cost estimates,  and a twelve year cashflow projection were developed for the recommended layout selected through the Harbour Authority feedback generated by two public meetings
