C.J. MacLellan and Associates has been conducting concrete and soils testing since 1975, having  attaining a CSA "category 0" lab facility in 1991.  The training and upgrading of personnel is ongoing to ensure the highest standards of testing.  Currently Third Party CSA certified lab facilities are utilized to provide a concrete testing service in conjunction with construction inspection services. 

The ability to provide these services in-house has proven valuable on its own, in support of other areas of specialization within the firm.

Major projects include contracts such as the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Communications to provide concrete testing services in Pictou County. The services were primarily for the Highway 104 twinning project. The services included inspection at the concrete batching plant as well as conducting all field and laboratory testing.
